I’ve said this before, but I do this work because it is what I love. It makes me happy, and it quenches my thirst for creativity. I love making a badass piece of clothing, and putting it on, and feeling all the more badass for it. But even more than that, I love making a badass piece of clothing for someone, and watching their eyes light up.
I have been told several times upon delivering a jacket to a customer, ‘this is the coolest piece of clothing I have ever owned.’
Like any artist, I see flaws in all my own work, regardless of what good things people say about it. But the fact is, despite how little looks may matter, when youfeelgood/cool/badass, that’s all that matters. And it is because I have learned I can incite that sense of self-awesome through the work I do with fabric, that I have started this business.
That said, I am not a businessman. I’m flying by the seat of my pants, and thanks to the incredible support I have gotten from fans, struggling to keep up. I have finally moved in to a new studio, which has enough space to have more than 1 person working in it at the same time, and this has enabled me to take on some interns, with the intention of hiring. Hopefully that will help get me caught up with orders, and start pumping out new designs at a faster rate, but I just want to say, to everyone who has emailed me and not gotten a response, and to everyone who put in an order months ago, and is still waiting somewhat patiently to receive: I’m sorry. Thank you for being patient with me while I try to get some altitude. Without your support, I couldn’t have made it this far.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned because I’m going to follow this up with the reveal of a new jacket for sale.
